RIVAA is pleased to present an exhibition of the work of Natasha Landau, an accomplished costume designer and artist, who is sharing works that include sketches from several productions from Russia and the U.S. and from the Public Theater in Central Park. Additionally, she is exhibiting paintings in various media, drawings, watercolors and oils. Her inspiration has always come from the beauty of literature and music.
The exhibition will be on at RIVAA Gallery, 527 Main Street, from April 4-28 with an opening reception on April 6, 2024 from 6-9 PM.

DOORS AND STOREFRONTS IN FRANCE
Leendert van der Pool’s exhibition at the Octagon Gallery, 888 Main Street on Roosevelt Island, is a selection of 12 oil paintings from his ongoing series, Doors and Storefronts in France. IInitiated twenty years ago, these paintings represent Leendert’s interest in unique, often-quirky street- level views of old-time storefronts, crumbling facades, and colorful window displays.
Leendert’s travels in the U.S. and Europe have offered him a cornucopia of possibilities, on backstreets of cities and towns, often ignored by passersby. As an artist, Leendert finds beauty in the clutter and color of everyday life.
His exhibition can be seen from March 30-June 30, 2024.
An opening reception will be held on April 5, from 5-8 PM at the Octagon.
