Open Call: The Art of Living

RIVAA Gallery is proud to announce an open call for "The Art of Living," an exhibition showcasing artists aged 55 or older, Residents of Roosevelt Island. 

We are looking for two and three-dimensional original works in all media.

Important Guidelines:

• Medium: Open to all forms of original art (e.g., painting, drawing, 3D, digital, etc.).

  
  

• Eligibility: Artists aged 55+ based in Roosevelt Island.

  
  

• Submission Deadline: March 14, 2026.

  
  

• Exhibition Date: April 2026.

  
  

• Entry & Participation Fee: Free.

  
  

• AI Art: No AI-generated art will be accepted. All submitted work must be original and created solely by the artist. Any AI generated art will be disqualified.

  
  

• Submissions: Each artist may submit up to 5-7 examples of their works for consideration. The jury will select based on those works. The final number of pieces to be exhibited will depend on the size of your works.

  Note - If the artworks are small, we may ask the artist to bring more than 7 works for display. And if the artworks are too big then we may select fewer than 5 works.

  
  

• Work Drop off: If selected the artist is required to deliver framed and ready-to-hang works at RIVAA gallery by March 30th. In case an artist cannot deliver works by the said date they must inform RIVAA via email at submissions@rivaagallery.org

  Note - Failing to do so may lead to disqualification and the next artist in the waitlist will be given the opportunity

  
  

• Framing/Presentation: All two-dimensional artworks must be presented in good quality frames and ready to hang. Artworks that do not meet these professional presentation standards upon delivery may be disqualified and excluded from the exhibition.
